The Texas Boot Museum
It's no secret that the real cowboys and cowgirls come here for their boots. On any given day customers can find horse and cattle trailers out front and spurs clinking in the aisles. We know a small town store sets the stage for an authentic and welcoming atmosphere, but we wanted to establish a boot museum in our store to provide a little more for our customers to experience.
We like to do things a bit differently around here and we're always looking for ways to improve our customer experience. So naturally, when the idea for opening an in-store boot museum came up, we started making contacts with notable Texans, musicians and country legends. We're still in the early stages of the project, but the boots are coming in (Ray Benson and Jack Ingram's are already here) and we hope the next time you're in the store you can admire one of the pairs of boots we've collected.
In an attempt to cultivate an atmosphere unlike any other boot store you've been to, we've collected items over the years to capture the essentials of the cowboy lifestyle. Next time you're here, try your hand at our calf-roping machine; take a peak at the old John Deere buckboard wagon, the old handmade spurs and a pair of boots worn by a soldier, dating back to the Civil War. On top of providing a wide selection of clothing and accessories, we want to create an enjoyable experience in the town we love.
If you don't already call Bastrop your home, hop in the car and follow the smell of leather until you get to the big boot on Highway 71! Stop by our store for a little piece of history or a cold drink, pick up some BBQ, enjoy the Lost Pines and then head home with a new pair of boots, your very own souvenir, straight from our home to yours.
