  • Custom Boots & Trunk Shows

At The Texas Boot Company, we strive for a great customer experience. The essence of our efforts can be boiled down to three things:

    1. Unique, quality products that create excitement
    2. Expert knowledge of each brand, ensuring customers get the perfect fit
    3. Legendary hospitality

Customer with Lone Star Beer Lone Star Beer and Texas Boot Company. A great combo.

As you can see – it all starts with what the customer wants. When our customers tell us what they’d like to see on our shelves, we listen. That dialogue between our customers and management is critical to our boot design process.

You’ll find your favorite designs from your favorite brands in our store every day, but over 40% of our exotic boots are our exclusive, in-house designs that you won’t find anywhere else! We feel this is one of the things that set us apart from any other boot store.

We have several design sessions with the Rios of Mercedes and Anderson Bean teams, but once a year, we open up this process for our customers – so that YOU can design your own boot! At the Trunk Show, you can:

◦Choose any color from all of the Anderson Bean or Rios colors
◦Choose any stitch pattern and color for the rows of stitches
◦Choose any toe style, heel, or sole.
◦Add custom embroidery or in-laid leather

Email us at [email protected] to reserve an appointment. Each design session can take as few as 15 minutes or up to 45 minutes. If you don’t have an appointment, you’re more than welcome! We’ll make sure you’re taken care of, and you can enjoy a cold beverage why you browse our selection and dream up your perfect boot design!

    Hope to see y’all soon!

We have the latest in women’s, men’s and kids fashions, as well as accessories and boots to dress you from head to toe for nearly every occasion.

  • Boots To Fill

The Texas Boot Company Clay Corn Blog 1

We all have heroes. Or we all should. Even Matthew McConaughey has heroes beyond the ten-year-older dude staring back at him in the mirror. Somebody, when he was younger, inspired him to get up in the morning and get really good at what he does.

Who’s yours? If you don’t have one, find one and study them.

    Mine have always worn boots.

I don’t mean my heroes have always been cowboys, but the singers of those words could certainly count themselves among mine, and I’ll spin a yarn in a later post about one of them that I’ll tell to my grandkids if I’ve done a good enough job of giving them a reason to listen.

  • Introducing Our New Guest Blogger, Clay Corn

Hey there, fellow boot aficionados! I'm Clayton Corn. I know, I have a funny last name and I've heard every joke in the book about it, but most people call me Clay, Corn or CC.

A few weeks ago I started talking to Marc Conselman and it wasn’t long before the conversations about boots and everything Texas carried us away. Near the end of our conversation we kicked around the idea of sharing some of those stories and more over time, while I’m out on the road. Because whether it’s through music or prose, I’m a storyteller at heart and after years on the road, I’ve compiled a hellova a collection...

I want to start by sharing a little about myself and some of the things I've done so you can see why I’m glad to be writing a series of blog posts for The Texas Boot Company. Continue reading

  • Behind the Scenes at Rios of Mercedes

Recently our team had the chance to go down to south Texas and visit the good people at Rios of Mercedes. The trip was an opportunity to design exclusive boots for The Texas Boot Company and meet with the people who handcraft one of the many brands in our boot collection.

While we were there I had countless conversations about quality, comfort, colors and trends, but the story worth telling is the one about the people behind your boots. At The Texas Boot Company, when we say a boot is handmade, we mean it. These materials are taken by the hands of people who’ve perfected their trade and they’ve used them to make beautiful boots time after time.

Here’s a few behind the scenes photos (and a pretty impressive video) at Rios of Mercedes earlier this month. Hopefully it’ll illustrate the boot making process in a way you’ve never been able to see it. Continue reading

  • Gentlemen, Which Pair of Lucchese Boots Are You?

Everyone loves a good online quiz and we’ve had so much fun watching the responses come in from our cowgirl boot quiz that we thought we’d do another quiz for the guys.

For those of you who are new to the cowboy boot world, Lucchese (easily pronounced as Lu-Kay-See) has been in the boot business for over 100 years. Today they continue to produce some of the finest luxury boots money can buy, just like they were when they opened. It’s not uncommon for third-generation Lucchese boot makers to use the same antique machines during the boot making process to ensure the quality and craftsmanship are maintained from the early days.
